Rare Wedgwood Jasperware Portrait Medallion – William III, Prince of Orange
18th to Early 19th Century – Museum-Quality Collector’s Piece

Résultat d’images pour William III King of Orange

A striking Wedgwood portrait medallion of William III, Prince of Orange, rendered in light blue jasperware with white relief, featuring the inscription “William III” in script on the reverse and marked Wedgwood. The relief work is deeply undercut and finely executed, consistent with the craftsmanship of the late 18th to early 19th century.

This example is presented in a re-gilded frame, restored with authentic gold leaf and antiqued to reflect the original period look. Please note, the medallion is not secured within the frame, allowing the next owner to mount it according to preference.

Condition:
Excellent condition for its age and usage. The lower section has been broken and carefully restuck, preserving its aesthetic and historical integrity. The jasper body remains crisp and clean, with no major losses to the relief.

Dimensions (approx):

Height: 5 3/8″

Width: 3 15/16″

A rare and distinguished piece, ideal for connoisseurs of Wedgwood portraiture and royal historical figures.

Please note: The “Dancing Hours” urn shown in background images is listed separately.
